My comments here refer to all the work in this section.
These are predominately small scale drawings that can usually be measured in inches rather than feet. They are part of a series concluded in the latter part of 2006. That said, there are still many as yet unfinished so they could eventually run until 200?
The technique employed is both time consuming and labour intensive. Each one is produced using draughting pens, or very fine nibbed pens, loaded with acrylic inks. The surface is normally watercolour paper. There is no margin for error and many do not or will not reach completion.
Their overall title, Natural History, refers not just to the subject matter, but also to the individual evolution of each drawing.
I have to say that despite my best efforts they do not reproduce particularly well, owing to their complexity, but if anyone does express an interest I will supply an image at a higher resolution.
